More increases in the number of IT/tech vacancies being advertised in November. The latest stats on the tech employment market. The latest news on the IT employment market, from the Labour Market Outlook report from the CIPD and KPMG. Who can believe it’s June already? 2009 – that’s two thousand and nine – has been at the very best a topsy-turvy one and at the very worst a downright difficult one for anyone involved in recruiting in any way, shape or form. If we were in government, we’d describe it as “challenging”: [...] We’re delighted to announce that we’re working exclusively with Peer 1 (www.peer1.com), the leading North American Hosting and Managed Services company who are in the process of setting up their European Operation in Southampton. Peer1 are all about customer service, and their desire to deliver the best is only matched by their desire to [...] We’ve been waiting for the doom and gloom industry to start affecting the job market for some time now. Whilst the market for hiring tends to be some way behind other aspects of the economy, the warning signs are starting to come out of the recruitment industry, it seems. There’s a really interesting article on The Register this week. Games, Games, Games, it’s all we’re talking about this week – or so it seems… We’re not normally that interested in the various ways in which the Recruitment industry dishes out awards to itself. That’s why, frankly, we couldn’t be bothered even mentioning the Recruiter Awards for Excellence this year. We can tell you that lots of awards were won by some companies. Great. We’ve had quite a few enquiries about the difficulties of obtaining UK work permits recently – and we’ve promised to post some information relevant to those who are interested. |
