Community Manager, Blogger, Blog, Author, Technical Writer, documentation
Central London - Up to £60,000 + Benefits

Idealpeople are delighted to present a fantastic opportunity to join one of the most exciting start-up/stealth organisations in Europe. They have a completely unique product and services offering that will without doubt soon become the de-facto solution in on line content and contact details for businesses and social networkers alike. Trademark businesses will already be signing up for it, SMEs will soon need it and ‘YOU’ will soon want it too.

They have a guaranteed monopoly on these products & services and as a company, are set for very big things. It’s important to point out that the products wont be bought off the shelf but instead distributed wholesale to end user service providers and retailers.

They’re well on target for an expected launch in October and now need a Community Manager to pull a number of cross-functional business areas together to ensure that launch runs as smoothly as possible.

There’s a long list of responsibilities (which will be released upon applying) for the successful candidate but the core deliverables will be to develop all technical Documentation, taking ownership of all externally visible technical documentation, contributions to existing specifications and to produce and maintain clear and precise user guides for software, procedures and accreditation standards.

You’ll also manage their on line developer community, engaging with end-users on the developer site forum, answering technical questions, gathering ideas and suggestions, and informing the community of upcoming features or changes. Monitoring key technically focussed blogs, seeding articles and responding to questions - liaising with the marketing department to ensure message coherence, produce, maintain and enhance developer resources such as FAQs, knowledge bases and technical white papers coupled with engaging with the internal product development process, representing developer community interests.

To be considered you’ll have significant experience in writing clear, concise and accurate documentation including specifications, user guides and FAQs. Bring experience of managing open source communities of developers and involvement with key technology blogs and forums as well as solid knowledge of the internet and web-based systems like DNS etc.

Experience of working in a fast paced, start up environment with excellent customer facing skills and exceptional attention to detail would be highly advantageous.
