So why are we so excited by China?
- The Chinese economy is growing by a staggering 11% per year.
- The 10 largest companies by market capitalization worldwide are Chinese (in fact, PetroChina is the largest company in the world by this metric - link
- China is improving its compulsory education system

Chinese technology companies face the exact same problems that their counterparts in other parts of the world, most notably:

- In a competitive environment, the difference between market-leader and unknown is primarily down to the quality of the staff they hire
- There is a constant supply problem relating to top talent - it’s hard to find and even harder to attract
- In a competitive environment, recruitment strategies must allow companies to hire quickly when talent is identified
